a mixed experience
smoke smell broken fan
The room reeked of smoke, unpleasant. i tried to air it out using the bathroom fan (that didn't work), but nothing helped. it even seemed to cling to the bed sheets. It reminded me of i was sleeping in an ashtray. the cleaner interrupted to say we had to check out earlier, despite us having been granted a late check-out (which annoyed me, honestly).

premature check-out exterior noise
i found the lack of proper soundproofing quite troubling. noise from outside disrupted my sleep considerably. additionally, a cleaner disturbed me with premature check-out demands, this created a significant inconvenience.

unopenable windows extreme stuffiness
the location was good, close to the railway station and shops.
I found there was no ventilation. The windows were unopenable, and the bathroom fan did not work. a plug-in fan was in the room but it was too noisy to use. the extreme stuffiness in the small room.

warm room lovely shower comfortable bed
The room was warm. It had everything I needed for a city break. The ensuite had a lovely shower. The bed was comfortable and plenty pillows guaranteed a good night's sleep.
There was no ventilation at all, the windows were unopenable.

great location friendly welcome extra towels
The location was GREAT! The communication before my arrival was effective and the welcome was friendly. The room size was good. I had a sofa and a good table with a chair. I found plenty of well-placed sockets, and I had extra towels at my disposal.

problematic heating lack of staff
the room was adequately equipped for my needs.
the heating system was problematic. despite reporting the issue, the room remained uncomfortably cold throughout my stay. also, i found the lack of on-site staff concerning, particularly regarding security.
